Roles
There are multiple kinds of actors within Archer Protocol. This page will provide guidance on the different kinds of ways to interface with Archer and its ecosystem.
Users
Users are the primary participants on the Archer platform. They interact with the natural language super-agent interface to issue search commands, prompts, or questions. These commands express their intents—such as executing swaps, bridging assets, or exploring yield strategies—and are routed through Archer’s backend to find the best execution path.
Key Actions:
Input natural language queries to discover and execute intents across multiple chains and dApps.
Connect their non-custodial wallets to securely interact with protocols without compromising custody of their assets.
Benefit from Archer’s ability to abstract away complexities like acquiring gas tokens or navigating fragmented interfaces.
Deployers
Deployers are developers or entities that create execution flows for intents or integrate their own agents into the Archer ecosystem. By opening up their developer interfaces, deployers enable Archer’s super-agent to pick up and route user intents to their specific solutions. Deployers set fees for successful routing and execution of intents through their agents.
Key Actions:
Build and deploy custom agents or execution flows compatible with Archer’s backend.
Define fee structures for intents routed to their solutions.
Optimize their agents’ performance and security to improve ranking within Archer’s aggregation system (higher-ranked agents attract more users).
Data Providers
Data providers contribute aggregated user data that powers targeted advertising campaigns and intent routing optimization on Archer’s platform. Users themselves may opt-in as data providers, earning rewards when their information is leveraged in aggregate for advertisers’ campaigns. This gives users the option to opt-in to having their data mined. User consent for mined data is key.
Key Actions:
Provide data insights that enhance targeting precision for advertisers and improve routing efficiency for deployers.
Users who opt-in as data providers receive compensation based on how often their aggregated data is utilized by advertisers.
Promoters
Advertisers leverage Archer’s data platform to run targeted campaigns aimed at Web3 users based on aggregated intent data. Their goal is not just to make their message heard but also actionable—users can directly interact with advertised intents through the super-agent interface, regardless of chain or dApp. This minimizes fragmentation by connecting novel protocols across ecosystems seamlessly.
Key Actions:
Design targeted advertisements using expressive data insights provided by Archer’s platform.
Enable immediate actionability of advertised intents (e.g., users can execute an advertised strategy directly from the ad).
Reach users across chains without requiring them to set up new wallets, acquire gas tokens, or learn new interfaces.
Operators
Operators maintain the infrastructure that ensures trustless execution at all layers of the protocol's centralized backend (and eventually decentralized rollup-based architecture). They are responsible for maintaining uptime, security, and reliability of the platform’s routing and aggregation systems.
Key Actions:
Monitor and maintain backend infrastructure for high availability and scalability.
Ferry requests from users to the decentralized consensus layer swiftly and securely.
Facilitate a smooth transition toward decentralized architecture as the protocol evolves.
